Terms of Service

Last updated: Wed 30 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use Aged Care Jobs at agedcarejobs.com.au (the "Platform"). "We", "us" and "our" mean Aged Care Jobs. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

If you use the Platform for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation. In these terms, "employer" means any organisation or person that posts jobs on the Platform, including recruiters and agencies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

2. Your account

  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • Each person uses their own login. Employers add each team member as their own user, and are responsible for what their team members do in the employer's account.
  • If you use an employer's account as a team member, the employer controls that account, its job listings and its applicants, and can remove your access.
  • We may ask you to confirm who you are or who you represent, and pause your account until you do.

3. Job seekers

  • Searching and applying for jobs is free.
  • Your profile, qualifications and credentials are your own statements, and you are responsible for them. Keep them true and up to date.
  • When you apply for a job on the Platform, the employer sees your profile as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Some jobs are applied for on the employer's own website. The employer's terms and privacy policy apply there, and their website has the latest details of the job.
  • We cannot promise you an interview, a reply or a job. Any job offer or employment is between you and the employer, and we are not part of it.

4. Employers

4.1 Your job listings

  • Describe your jobs accurately, and make sure your listings comply with the law, including the Fair Work Act 2009 and anti-discrimination laws.
  • If you are a recruiter or agency, you must have your client's permission to advertise the job, and hold any licence the law requires, such as a labour hire licence.
  • Each listing stays up for 30 days, unless you close it sooner.
  • We decide how and where listings appear, including their order in search results, apart from featured placement you have paid for. We may decline or remove a listing that breaks these terms, is not for work in aged care, or that we reasonably believe could mislead or harm job seekers.
  • If we show one of your jobs from your own website and you want it changed or removed, use our opt-out form or email us.

4.2 Applicants' information

  • Use an applicant's information only to consider them for the job they applied for. Keep it secure, handle it as privacy law requires, and never sell it, pass it to anyone outside your hiring process or use it for marketing.
  • Tell us straight away if you think applicant information from the Platform has been accessed or used without permission.
  • Applicant details stay available to you for a limited time after an application closes, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Keep your own records of anything you need to keep.
  • We do not check job seekers' profiles, qualifications or credentials. You are responsible for every check the law requires before you hire, such as registration, police and worker screening checks.

4.3 Plans and payments

  • Posting jobs requires a plan. Our pricing page shows each plan and add-on, its price in Australian dollars and what it includes. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged. If that changes, we will tell you before it applies.
  • Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, and we charge your saved payment method until you cancel. When a free period or discount ends, your plan continues at the price that then applies, unless you cancel before then.
  • A monthly plan's job allowance resets each month, and unused jobs do not carry over. A yearly plan's allowance can be used at any time during its 12 months.
  • A featured credit features one live job until that job's listing ends. Credits expire 12 months after purchase.
  • Fees are not refundable, except where the law requires it. This includes unused job allowances and credits, and a credit used on a job that closes early.
  • Discounts and offers apply only on the terms stated when they are offered, and we may withdraw one that is misused.
  • If a payment fails, we may pause your plan until it is paid, or end it. If you dispute a valid charge with your bank or card provider, we may suspend your account while it is resolved.
  • If we change the price of your plan, we will email you at least 30 days before your first payment at the new price, and you can cancel before then.
  • If you accepted our Founding Partner Agreement, it also applies to you, and it takes priority over these terms if they conflict.

4.4 Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time from Billing in your employer account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and then ends.
  • When your plan ends, your job listings and branch pages go offline and paid features stop.

5. Aged Care Jobs Academy

  • The academy's free tier and its paid pathways are provided under the academy terms, which name the course provider, the price, the refund and transfer rules and how recordings are handled. Where they say something different about the academy, the academy terms apply.
  • Academy content is professional development and mentorship. It is not an accredited qualification, and it does not replace your employer's policies, your registration obligations or clinical advice.
  • The community rules apply to everything you post in the academy.

6. Referral program

  • Every account has a referral link. We record who joined through yours and show you their first name and initial. The first person to refer someone keeps that referral, and a referral counts for 90 days from the click on your link or the code being entered.
  • There are no rewards for referring at the moment: no money, credit or other reward. If we offer rewards again, we will say so here first, and only referrals made after that will count.
  • Do not spam, mislead or pressure anyone with your link, and do not present yourself as our staff. We may close the link of an account that does.

7. Content

  • We own the Platform, including its software, design, content and branding. These terms give you the right to use it, not ownership of any part of it. You are welcome to share links to our pages, but do not copy or republish our content without our written permission.
  • You keep ownership of what you add to the Platform, such as your profile, job listings and logo, and you must have the right to add it. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use it to run the Platform, including through our service providers.
  • If you are an employer, this licence also lets us use your organisation's name, logo, profile and job listings to promote your jobs and the Platform, for example in job alerts, search engines, social media and our marketing, and to say that you use Aged Care Jobs. If you ask us to stop using your logo in our marketing, we will not use it in new marketing.
  • We may create statistics from use of the Platform that do not identify any person, such as salary and hiring trends. We own them and may publish them.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

8. What you must not do

You must not:

  • Post a job that is not a real, current vacancy, including a listing posted only to collect candidates' details
  • Post fake, misleading or discriminatory listings, or anything designed to scam job seekers
  • Ask job seekers to pay anything, or ask for their bank details or tax file number before a job offer
  • Harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or unlawfully discriminate against them
  • Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent who you are or who you are hiring for
  • Use applicants' information, or contact job seekers, for anything other than the job they applied for
  • Post other people's personal information without their consent, or any health information about residents, clients or patients
  • Copy or collect data from the Platform by automated means, such as scraping, except as our robots.txt allows, or use it to build a competing service
  • Copy, modify or reverse engineer the Platform's software, resell access to it, or get around our security, access controls or usage limits
  • Probe, overload or disrupt the Platform, or upload anything harmful, such as viruses
  • Use the Platform for anything unlawful

If you do, we may remove content, suspend or close your account (section 9), and report unlawful conduct to the police or other authorities.

9. Suspending and closing accounts

You can stop using the Platform at any time. Job seekers can delete their account in My Account, Account Controls, and employers can email us to close theirs. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, involves fraud, a scam or other misuse, or puts job seekers, employers or the Platform at risk. We will tell you why, unless we cannot for legal or safety reasons.

10. Our responsibilities

  • We provide the Platform with due care and skill. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms limits those guarantees or any other rights you have by law.
  • We work to keep the Platform available and secure, and we fix problems as quickly as we can. There may be short periods when it is unavailable, such as during maintenance, and we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our service providers.
  • Employers write their job listings and job seekers write their profiles, and each is responsible for what they write. If something looks wrong, report it and we will look into it.
  • Employers and job seekers deal with each other directly. We are not responsible for their conduct, hiring decisions or employment arrangements, or for other websites we link to.
  • As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost opportunities.
  • If you use the Platform for your business, then as far as the law allows, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
  • If you are an employer, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses from any claim against us arising from your job listings, your hiring decisions, your use of applicants' information, or your breach of these terms or the law, except to the extent we caused them.

11. Changes

We may change the Platform, including adding or removing features, and we may update these terms, for example when the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version of these terms. If a change significantly affects you, such as removing a feature your plan includes, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless it is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account or cancel your plan before it takes effect. If you keep using the Platform after a change takes effect, the change applies to you.

12. General

  • We send notices to the email address on your account, and they count as received the next business day.
  • We may transfer these terms to another entity that takes over the Platform, as long as your rights under them are not reduced. We will tell you if we do.
  • These terms, our Privacy Policy, the plan details shown when you buy and any separate agreement you accept with us are the whole agreement between us about the Platform.
  • If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Parts of these terms meant to continue after your account closes continue, including fees owed, licences for content already published, and section 10.
  • If you have a dispute with us, contact us first. We will both try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days before going to court, except in urgent cases. This does not limit your right to complain to a regulator.
