Grant Opportunity Opens to Help Home Care Providers Upgrade IT Systems

Good news for home care providers! A new grant opportunity has been launched, offering a one-time payment of $10,000 (excluding GST) to help upgrade IT systems. This funding is designed to assist both Home Care Package providers and Commonwealth Home Support Programme providers in meeting upcoming requirements under the new Aged Care Act.

The grant, called the Support at Home and Aged Care Act Transition Support 2024-25 Grant Opportunity (GO7421), is now open for applications. Here’s how it can help:

• For Home Care Package providers: The funding will help cover IT upgrades needed to comply with new obligations starting on 1 July 2025, as part of the Support at Home program and the new Aged Care Act.
• For Commonwealth Home Support Programme providers: The grant will assist with upgrading systems to meet new reporting requirements under the Aged Care Act and their upcoming 2025-27 grant agreements.
